Follicular extraction
Ovum extraction. It will be made under sedation and in an outpatient department. After the extraction, the patient will be informed of the number of eggs obtained.
The selection of viable eggs will be made in the Laboratory as well as the In Vitro Fertilization or ICSI depending on the case.
After 24 hours the couple will be informed of the number of embryos obtained and the day of the transfer; it is usually 48 or 72 hours after the egg extraction
Embryos transfer
It is carried out in the room next to the Laboratory. It does not take longer than 10 minutes and the patient must remain lying during half an tour, after which she can leave.
Two days of rest are required after the transfer.
12 days after the transfer, the patient will take the pregnancy test in blood in her town of origin to check if she is in gestation. If she is pregnant, she can do the follow up in her town.
Embryo freezing
If there are extra embryos, the freezing will be made the same day of the embryo transfer. The embryos will be kept in the embryo bank until the couple wishes to do the transfer.
