Couples non resident in Catalonia - IVF and IVF/ICSI

The Gynaecologist will inform the patient of the hormone treatment to be followed in the coming weeks to stimulate ovulation. All the necessary medication prescription will be made for the ovary stimulation so it can be controlled by the local doctor and the couple can obtain the medicine in their country of origin. 

The day of the first visit a semen freezing will be made and will be kept in our laboratory. This is a security sample and it will only be used in case a fresh sample is not available when it is needed.

The consents will be signed and informed in accordance with the Spanish laws that govern assisted reproduction.

Ovary stimulation.  Follicular control

The first stage of IVF is ovary stimulation and it will be made jointly between the gynaecologist and the scan specialist in the couple's town of residence and the Reproduction Unit. The result of each control will be sent by FAX, e-mail or telephone to the Reproduction Unit to evaluate the reply and to balance the medication dose in each case. The couple will be informed of the probable date of the follicular extraction so that they can prepare their travel. The last control will be carried out in the Reproduction Unit.
